Summer holiday in Meransen

Feel the summer sun and smell the scent of freshly mown hay. In Meransen and the surrounding area there is plenty for young and old to discover. And best of all: most of the activities start right on our doorstep.

Here are a few tips:
Sonnenpark am Gitschberg – large natural playground with giant slide, climbing igloo and various gymnastics equipment. At the summit of the Gitschberg there is a viewing platform with a view of countless mountain peaks.

Bike tours in and around Meransen – there is a bike hire shop just a few metres below our farm. Here you can hire mountain bikes or e-bikes and explore our beautiful, breathtaking landscape and surroundings by bike.

Hike through the impressive, picturesque Altfasstal valley – you can start the hike into the Altfasstal valley directly from our farm. The very sporty should not miss the ascent to the Seefeld lakes and the Seefeldspitze.

Winter magic, snow crystals – skiing and tobogganing tours start right on the doorstep.

Our winter paradise is the perfect place to spend active days in nature and enjoy winter to the full!

Skiing & snowboarding
The Gitschberg Jochtal ski area with its 55 kilometres of pistes and a total of 15 modern lifts offers you fantastic skiing fun. Whether beginner or pro, the pistes offer something for everyone. There are also two certified ski schools ‘Snowpro’ and ‘Gitschberg’ in our ski area.

Distance to other ski areas: Plose ski area (20 km), Kronplatz ski area (30 km), Seiser Alm ski area (40 km)

Tobogganing
Tobogganing is not only fun, but also suitable for the whole family. The ‘Brimi’ toboggan run leads from the Gitschberg mountain station down to the valley.

Hiking
In winter, the landscape is transformed into a magical paradise. Winter hiking trails are perfect for relaxing walks in nature. After a hike in the snow-covered landscape, there is probably nothing better than stopping off at a rustic hut and indulging in regional specialities.
